Week After Super Bowl Reflection

Everyone is 0-0 again, no wins, no losses. A week ago the final game of the season was played and it was another year of a non dissapointing Superbowl. A lot of people are questioning if this hurts Peyton Manning's legacy. I say no, what he has done as a quarterback is incredible and even after a late minute interception to seal his fate, I still feel that he is the best ever.

If any legacy has been changed it is that of Drew Brees. Brees was really only known by pretty big fotball fans, but now the world knows him. He played an outstanding game after some first quarter jitters. I still look at Brees as the second best quarterback in the league and he is quickly moving up into possibility of being on the Mt. Rushmore of quaterbacks.

The Superbowl can make any player popular and known for life. Not only was it Drew Brees time to shine, but it was also relatively unknown Tracy Porter's time in the limelight. After what he calls "great film study" he was able to make that interception that sealed Peyton Mannings fate. Now and forever, this game will be remembered by that one play. Brees may have gotten the MVP, but Tracy Porter will be the one remembered from this great game.

  1. Yes what a game! The Saints have started Marty Graw with a bang that will last for 2 weeks or more. I agree with you Drew Brees has become a god in New Orleans and he will be remembered forever. Brees and Sean Peyton were the reasons the Saints won the game. Peyton had the guts to call the onside kick, challenge the 2 point conversion, and call all the necessary plays to push his team over the top.
Brees has definatley become the second best quarterback in the NFL. Behind only in my opinion Peyton Manning. The reason being is that Peyton Manning runs the Colts offense to perfection, and he won the MVP for the fourth time this year. He also had a great game up untill that fateful pass that sealed his fate. But if you look at the whole game he was not the reason the Colts lost that game. The Saints defense along with Brees and company were the reason the Colts lost!
I believe Brees will continue to play at this level for at least another five years and vault himself into the hall of fame!!!!!
